This presentation covers issues such as the 'Imposter Syndrome', addressing the common feeling amongst social workers that they may not be good enough for private practice, as well as advice on where to get additional information and support on:
- setting up a business
- getting clients
- dealing with legal issues
- charging for service
- managing finances
- getting approval to undertake contract work with various state and government departments.
Presenters include members of the NSW Social Workers in Private Practice Executive. The presentation is led by Convenor Joanne Cotterill who is in Private Practice in Mudgee and Social Convenor Cherie Gillet who is in Private Practice in Port Macquarie.
