Event Description
The concept of work-life balance has been around for decades, but it is time to rethink what it means in today's world. A new model for self-care and better outcomes is needed to address the unique challenges Social Workers face in today’s post pandemic fast paced society. In today's fast-paced world, achieving work-life balance can be a daunting task. But it's not impossible. By being intentional about our desired overall health and self-care goals, we can make small changes to our daily routine, to support us during challenging times to find a better balance and improve our overall well-being.
When organisations, systems, policies, and practices prioritizing their people and their client’s health and wellbeing needs before making a profit, then we have shifted to a better balance between work and personal life, for the greater good. This shift will lead to not only improve our workforce well-being and achieve greater personal and professional satisfaction and fulfilment in all areas of life, but it will also increase productivity, and sustainable positive outcomes for clients and communities.
Who should register? Any level of social worker who is keen to develop practical strategies to promote their own self-care and well-being and/or that of their colleagues at work.
