What do we know about 'drink spiking'? This presentation shares preliminary findings from two studies of alcohol and other drug-facilitated sexual violence.

- Analysis of media reporting on drink spiking in the last ten years in Australia.
- Emerging evidence from across the service sector on responses to victim-survivors.

Presenter
Dr Jessica Ison is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Judith Lumley Centre, La Trobe University. Her scholarship engages with emerging legal and social challenges in regulating sex and sexuality with a particular focus on sexual violence, LGBTIQA+ communities and alcohol and other drugs. Jess is the Coordinator of the La Trobe Violence Against Women Network and the Project Manager for the 'RESPOND: Community action to prevent alcohol and other drug-facilitated sexual violence in the Bendigo region' project.
